Town made the long trek north to Scunthorpe to take on a well-drilled Bottesford team and seemed to have left a lot of energy on the road as they played without much desire throughout. Early strikes from the home side saw Town heads go down and it was pretty much one way traffic with Jake and Adam kept busy in the goal. None of the players performed to their potential and it was disappointing to witness from the sideline as heads went down, allowing the home side to look and perform better than they probably are. Scorer for Town was Josh Atkins from a penalty after Coggy was upended in the box.
On reflection, the team needs to look at itself and come back strong for next week-s trip to Sibsey, with defenders getting tighter and an increase in workrate from front to back - come on boys you can do it!!
